This week, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) is set to
host its 83rd Scientific Sessions-the world's largest
gathering of the best minds in diabetes science and care.

This year's anticipated meeting of the greatest minds will
feature presentations on groundbreaking diabetes topics and research
findings-research that can help make breakthrough discoveries in
our quest to find a cure.

We've been honored to meet some of our supporters and
researchers who care about finding treatments and a cure as much as
you do, and we thought you might like to "meet" them,
too.

Jim and Marlene Ryan gave to fund diabetes research because they know
firsthand how critical effective treatments are. After a terminal
diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension, Marlene spent an extra
five years with her family, and a new treatment made those years
possible. Her family is grateful for that time and felt that, since
Jim has diabetes, it was important to give that gift to other families
of loved ones with diabetes too-that's why they support
ADA.

We could not do this work without people like Jim, Marlene, and you.
