Egale Canada is steadfast in building and fostering safer and inclusive schools for 2SLGBTQI students – your support and continued action are needed now. 

With rising hate towards 2SLGBTQI communities, Egale is taking action and advocating for governments and school boards to help create inclusive school environments, where all persons are equal and none are other, by: 

• Offering Inclusive Schools webinars and workshops for educators and school staff on topics including cyberbullying as well as inclusion for trans and nonbinary youth;
• Advocating for inclusive education and equitable participation in extracurricular activities, and advocating against rolling back protections for 2SLGBTQI students; 
• Responding to hateful and transphobic comments and disruptions in schools, encouraging strengthened inclusion efforts;  
• Calling upon all municipal governments and institutions to Fly the Flag this Pride Season as a symbol of diversity, inclusion, and to celebrate our vibrant communities.  

We are looking forward to sharing more about Egale's Inclusive Schools initiatives, and how we’re working to combat the rise in hate towards 2SLGBTQI students and youth.
