We cannot let this happen, John, and we don't have much time.
Will you send an urgent message to your Senators and urge them to vote NO on H.J. Res. 44? [[link removed]]

John,
NRA-backed politicians are trying to make it easier for mass shooters to gain access of war with H.J. Res. 44, a reckless resolution that would reverse President Biden's federal rule to regulate "stabilizing braces.” The House senselessly passed this resolution this month and we cannot let the Senate do the same.
The Senate vote is scheduled for tomorrow morning and we're counting on activists to take action NOW, before it's too late. Will you send a message to your Senators and urge them to vote NO on H.J. Res. 44? >> [[link removed]]
Stabilizing braces were originally designed to assist disabled shooters. But gun manufacturers have redesigned and misbranded accessories as “stabilizing braces” in order to circumvent regulations, putting profits over people.
A “stabilizing brace” was used in Nashville, TN, this year, when three children and three adults were killed at their school.
A “stabilizing brace” allowed the Colorado Springs shooter to kill five people and injure 25 in only minutes.
A “stabilizing brace” was used by the shooter in Dayton, OH, to kill 9 and injure 26 more in just 32 seconds.
In far too many recent tragedies, mass shooters have used pistols paired with “stabilizing braces” to make them more lethal, essentially creating a portable, concealable assault rifle.
Despite this, the gun lobby is determined to reverse President Biden’s rule. This resolution is a direct threat to all Americans’ public safety, and we cannot allow it to pass. The Senate is scheduled to vote on this deadly resolution tomorrow and we’re counting on dedicated activists to speak out today: Can you send a message to your Senators right now and tell them to vote against the gun lobby? >> [[link removed]]

With this resolution, NRA-backed lawmakers are actively supporting mass shooters, increasing gun deaths, making us all less safe. It is up to us to hold our lawmakers accountable and make sure they stand up to the gun lobby. Thank you for taking action, John.
