Back in 2020, Lori secured the passage of an amendment to the Energy Act of 2020 that established the Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program in order to expand fusion research and development across U.S. labs and universities, as well as to facilitate greater private investment in fusion technology.
Friend, much of the groundbreaking work to harness fusion energy we’ve seen in the past few years may not have been possible if it weren’t for Lori’s leadership in Congress – including right here in Massachusetts.
Earlier this year, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm joined Lori in the district for the ribbon cutting of Commonwealth Fusion Systems' new commercial fusion campus where researchers are working to unlock low cost, carbon free energy.
