John,
As workers in St. Louis and across the country rise up for fair pay, fair scheduling, and benefits, billion-dollar corporations are fighting back with illegal union-busting tactics.
Starbucks has engaged in a multimillion dollar union-busting campaign, firing labor organizers and intimidating workers.[1][2]
Amazon has illegally interfered in a union election in Alabama and refused to accept a successful union vote at one of its warehouses in Staten Island.[3][4] At the same time, the National Labor Relations Board has accused Amazon CEO Andy Jassy of illegally coercing and intimidating workers.[5] And, just this week, more than 400 workers at an Amazon fulfillment center outside of St. Louis sent a letter to management demanding safer working conditions in response to hundreds of injuries at this fulfillment center alone.[6]
Rep. Cori Bush -- an activist, organizer, and the proud daughter of a union meat cutter -- is working to uplift the voices of working people because every worker deserves to have a union representing them.

Last year, Cori celebrated her congressional staff’s successful vote to unionize, saying:
“Workers are stronger together, and I’m proud to stand in solidarity as they strive in making Congress a better workplace.”
Cori has also paid her campaign staff a livable wage, paying staff to knock doors rather than recruiting volunteers. This has opened the doors of electoral politics to those who might otherwise not have been able to take part in a congressional race -- those who see politics as being distant or removed from their own lives because they're just struggling to survive.
Every worker, regardless of where they work, should have the right to a safe workplace, fair wages, and the right to come together in union. That’s why Cori has introduced multiple worker safety bills in Congress and is a proud co-sponsor of the PRO Act, which strengthens workers’ rights to collectively bargain a fair wage with benefits.

Team Cori
