The NDR PAC is working to elect leaders who will fight for fairness across the country – and our movement is getting results.

Now, the end-of-quarter deadline is approaching at the end of this month, and we’re looking to raise $5,000 today to help us reach our goal. Will you pitch in to help us continue our democracy-saving work?

John,

First, just a few weeks ago we were reading some truly scary headlines:

CNN: “The Supreme Court may completely hollow out the Voting Rights Act by 2024”

FiveThirtyEight: “The Supreme Court is on the Verge of Killing the Voting Rights Act”

Alabama Republicans had asked the Supreme Court to dismantle Section 2 of the VRA, which prohibits manipulating maps to dilute the voting power of communities of color. Experts warned that, if the Court accepted the GOP lawmakers’ position, it would have grave consequences for our democracy.

But then, something incredible happened:

Forbes: “Supreme Court Keeps Voting Rights Act Protections—Strikes Down Redrawn Alabama Map”

The Guardian: “Alabama discriminated against Black voters, US supreme court rules”

Our movement helped make this possible!

Instead of weakening the Voting Rights Act, the Court reaffirmed its role as an important tool to make our democracy fairer and more representative. A.G. Holder said, “This is a victory for all Americans -- and an important step toward equal voting power and representation for voters of color.”

He’s right, John – and grassroots supporters like you helped make it happen!

This is a monumental example of how together, our movement can win huge victories for fair maps, and for our democracy.

So now, we’re asking you to pitch in toward our one-day goal of raising $5,000 to power the NDR PAC’s work so we can keep fighting for fairness across the country.
