Kiki and Katz survived a devastating tornado near Memphis. And that wasn't the most traumatic test they faced in their first six weeks of life. Just days before the storm, they were found huddled inside the crumbling wall of an abandoned apartment. Their owners had been evicted and left the kittens to fend for themselves. Rescuers heard the cries but couldn't find Kiki and Katz—until they kicked in the sheet rock wall to save them.
When the tornado struck, local shelters were already at capacity with homeless pets, so they asked PAWS for help.
PAWS volunteers made the long journey to rescue Kiki, Katz, and 30 other homeless pets. Once safely at our Medical Center, each animal receives everything they need to live happy and healthy. For Kiki and Katz, that meant learning to trust again, thanks to a loving foster family where they were doted upon until large enough for spay/neuter, vaccinations, and, finally, adoption.
Saving Kiki and Katz wouldn’t have been possible without your support, and that’s why we need your help today.
