This attack isn’t just about me: it’s a test to see how far they can go to
silence the voices of anyone who dares challenge Donald Trump and his
followers. We’re witnessing a dangerous strand of authoritarianism running
through today’s GOP, backed by Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and silencing the
opposition is part of the autocrats' playbook.

That’s not all. Donald Trump demanded I be imprisoned, and he explicitly
called for any Republican who votes against my censure to be primaried. If
these tactics succeed, they will only breed further extremism.

extremism in Congress — an extremism fueled by Donald Trump and fanned by
