It’s time to provide every American with access to quality care.
John,
From routine checkups to emergency services and everything in between, every one of us needs access to healthcare. Yet many find themselves without access to quality, affordable care, foregoing lifesaving treatment or taking on mountains of medical debt.
The United States is one of the only advanced liberal democracies in the world that doesn’t guarantee healthcare to its citizens. Millions of Americans are left uninsured, underinsured, or struggling to meet rising treatment costs while healthcare remains a largely for-profit entity.
The Medicare for All Act of 2023 would revolutionize healthcare in the United States. Through a single-payer healthcare system, people would gain widespread coverage for medical care, prescription drug costs, mental health services, supplemental care like dental and vision, and more. No matter one’s income level, employment status, or pre-existing conditions, no one would need to choose between lifesaving care and financial stability.
