Peru's Congress is attempting to abolish protections for Indigenous Peoples in Isolation and Initial Contact (PIACI) as soon as this Friday! This could bring about the genocide of dozens of cultures and the destruction of 13% of the Peruvian Amazon.

The Governors' Climate and Forests Task Force could use its considerable influence to stop this from happening, but so far it has not even responded to a letter from Peruvian Indigenous organization AIDESEP demanding that it cut off funding to any member state that commits such acts.

Indigenous peoples in isolation need us on their side, just as we need the forests in which they live and protect to survive. Please help amplify AIDESEP’s demand that the Governors' Climate and Forests Task Force respond to their letter and take a stand for Indigenous peoples!
