John,
Earlier this month, I introduced the Veterans Mental and Behavioral Health Quality of Care Act in the House to help improve mental and behavioral health care for our veterans. This bipartisan bill, which I joined Congressman Pat Fallon (R-TX) in leading, is a step in ensuring our veterans are getting the best quality care possible by comparing care received within and outside of the Veterans Affairs (VA) system.

If passed, this bill would commission a study within the VA to look at differences in the quality of care between VA and non-VA providers to help us best deliver for our nation’s veterans. By comparing VA and non-VA providers, we’ll be able to identify gaps in care and better determine best practices to support our veterans.
Actions speak louder than words, so when we thank our veterans for their service, it cannot be an empty gesture. As a nation, we must ensure that our veterans receive top-notch support for their mental health and other conditions.
I’m doing my part in Congress to fulfill that mission. With this bipartisan bill that I have introduced, we can create a stronger, more coordinated health care system for our veterans. John, if you support this piece of legislation to ensure our veterans are getting the best care possible, please add your name here.
