Hello,

It’s Pride month and I hope you’re already having a month full of celebrations, parades, and community.

I am proud to live in a state led by leaders who are working tirelessly to expand civil rights for all, not diminish them.

Earlier this year, Michigan Democrats voted to expand the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to protect the LGBTQ+ community in a meaningful way from discriminatory practices. And just a few days ago, Michigan Democrats introduced legislation to ban mental health professionals from using conversion therapy on minors.

Michigan Democrats are proving that they will fight to expand civil rights for all Michiganders and will pass policies that protect all our kids.

Unfortunately, not every American lives in a state like Michigan. Republicans across America are demonizing the LGBTQ+ community with “don’t say gay” legislation, bans on gender-affirming care, and ridiculous bathroom bills.

That’s why we need to work tirelessly from now until Election Day to make sure we send Michigan Democrats to Congress and the White House who will fight for equality for all Americans and stand up against Republican attacks.

We need to turn out voters in November to make sure Michigan Democrats up and down the ballot win big next year so they can keep fighting for equality in America. Chip in right now to help the MDP defeat extreme Republicans who are a danger to the LGBTQ+ community >>>
