Dear John,
After undergoing years of puberty blockers and an irreversible double mastectomy at the age of 15, Chloe Cole has now de-transitioned and is a self-described “former trans kid.” Now at 18, Chloe Cole is rapidly becoming one of the most powerful voices against transitioning children—at a moment in which most politicians and media outlets lack the courage to speak out. Cole is now traveling across the country to share her story and raise the alarm about gender transition procedures on children, a growing trend she calls “child abuse” and “medical experimentation.” Earlier this year, during her rallies there have been unnecessary violent attacks! But we passed a new law in Texas, SB 14, to stop this terrible experiment from happening to kids in Texas! Who would have thought 10 years ago Texas Values would have to defend children like Chloe?

But, with the Legislative session behind us and special sessions ahead, we are making progress on such issues as parental rights, helping mother's with pro-life resources, and prayer in schools. Looking ahead to the next 10 years, Texas Values must stand strong and will need your prayers and your financial support to end our fiscal year in the black! Our annual budget runs from July 1 to June 30, so we have a big, June 30th fiscal year-end deadline to cover all of our expenses by June 30th.
Texas Values exists to preserve and advance a culture of family values in the State of Texas. We stand for biblical, Judeo-Christian values by ensuring Texas is a state in which religious liberty flourishes, families prosper, and every human life is valued—in the courts, the legislature, and the media.
As the 2023 88th Texas Legislative Session came to an end last month, the media, Texas residents, and business owners may have some questions about the status of new faith, family, and freedom laws in the State of Texas. Texas Values is involved daily in every part of the legislative process, with members of our policy team at the Capitol, researching, testifying in public hearings, doing media interviews, and more! |
Protecting kids, fairness in college sports, and parental rights dominated the discussion and legislation this session: on topics like banning Drag Queen Shows with kids in attendance, gender transitioning of kids, and empowering parents on content and choice for education. We have been fighting to resolve these issues for the past 12 months. Common sense won big this year at the Texas Legislature.
Our Top Legislative Victories and Outcomes of this 2023 Texas legislative session are: - SB 14 — a bill that bans gender transition surgeries, procedures, and puberty blockers for kids, - SB 15 — a bill that protects female college athletes from being forced to compete against men - SB 12 — a bill that bans Drag Queen Shows and performances in front of kids - SB 24 — a bill that protects funding of moms & babies for Alternatives to Abortion - HB 900 (Reader Act) — a bill that keeps sexually explicit content out of public school libraries - SB 763 — the school chaplain bill — a bill that permits public schools to choose to have a chaplain
- Casino Gambling (which we oppose) and other efforts to expand gambling did not pass - Dozens of bad LGBT priority bills, many called “Ban the Bible” bills, were all defeated this session |
In other news, we are looking forward to... Building programs like Texas Values University, a Grassroots program called Texas Defenders.
Our annual Texas Faith, Family, and Freedom Policy Forum will take place September 15-16th. For more information on our events and to get your tickets, please visit texasvalues.org/events.
In closing, a vast majority of Texans support faith, family, and freedom. We only have to inform and mobilize them. That is what Texas Values does every day, and why I say this bluntly: if you’re worried, if you’re fearful, if you’re casting about for a way to make a difference, please send your most generous, stretch gift to support the much-needed work of Texas Values. If received by June 30—the end of our fiscal year, the impact of your gift will be doubled, as we have secured a generous $150,000 challenge grant that will effectively match your donation—dollar for dollar. To continue this great work for all Texans, we ask for your prayers and your financial partnership to help us finish out our year strong with $300,000 raised by June 30.
Other way's you can help us! - Please forward this email to 5 like minded family and friends! - If you're not able to give, please post on social media to help us get the word out! - Please consider making a donation by June 30th to help us reach our goal and be apart of the $150,000 matching grant! - Please pray for us between now and June 30th to reach our goal! |
