Lashrecse Aird won her primary for Virginia's 13th Senate District! In 2021, the Virginia Education Association named her Legislator of the Year. In her time in the House of Delegates, she fought to provide funding for schools, and economic opportunities for her community. Last night, she defeated her opponent, Joe Morrissey, an outspoken anti-choice Democrat with a history of abuse who had publicly stated that he had planned to vote against abortion access. As you may remember, Her Bold Move produced a special campaign ad for her and, thanks to your support, we were able to gift it to her campaign as an in-kind contribution!

Susanna Gibson won her primary for the Virginia House of Delegates, District 57. Because of her extensive experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Susanna is uniquely positioned to advocate and fight for women's reproductive freedom. She has sat with patients who have had to make difficult and extremely personal decisions and has been the only resource for families struggling to make rent or put food on the table. She defeated Bob Shippee, who has a record of working against expanding voting rights in Virginia. Another AMAZING win for the people of Virginia!
