Out-of-state MD Surrenders License
OLYMPIA, WA ??The Washington Medical Commission (WMC) accepted the license surrender of James Peng Guan Ooi, MD (#00033746) in June 2023. Ooi?resides in California.
The WMC entered into a stipulation which alleged Dr. Ooi committed unprofessional conduct when he surrendered his medical license in California for violating a prior order there. The alleged conduct underlying the California action included Dr. Ooi?s failure to follow up on an inconclusive chest x ray, failure to properly supervise an ARNP and record keeping violations.
Dr. Ooi may not resume practice in the state of Washington, including any temporary, emergency or volunteer practice.
