John,
I am thrilled to share with you the great news of two important victories for Iranian-American women in Virginia's primary elections. Congratulations to Arlington Commonwealth Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti for fending off a primary challenge and winning the nomination for reelection!
[[link removed]] We also want to congratulate Atoosa Reaser who ran unopposed and is now one step closer to being elected to the House of Delegates in November! And we want to recognize Ibraheem Samirah for running a hard fought campaign that unfortunately fell short but inspired many of us.
[[link removed]] These primary victories are another milestone in the journey towards building robust political representation for our Iranian-American community. Iranian-American women especially have continued to blaze trails and break down electoral barriers for our community, and we at NIAC Action are proud to support them.
Victories like these aren't won in isolation, they are possible thanks to your collective efforts and support. Your contributions and volunteer efforts help provide our endorsed candidates with resources to run effective campaigns, scale their reach, and ultimately, represent all of us in offices across the country.
As we celebrate these victories, we look forward to the upcoming general elections on November 7. If you believe in the power of representation and want to help Iranian-American women like Parisa and Atoosa succeed, consider making a contribution today.
