The White House just launched an interactive map that allows users to see where infrastructure investments are being made nationwide. [[link removed]] Under the Biden-Harris administration, $4.3 Billion in investments to public infrastructure has been allocated for Washington, including:

$3.1 billion dedicated to transportation;
$448.2 million to fortify our communities against climate change and other environmental threats; and
$258.6 million directed to improvement of water infrastructure, with $92 million going to lead pipe replacement projects alone.

This funding will help improve the lives of Washingtonians through projects like the rehabilitation of the Salmon Bay Bridge, improvements to make security screening at Sea-Tac seamless, and replacement of an obsolete ferry with a hybrid-electric ferry to service Lummi Island.

Beyond the great improvements to transportation hubs, these investments have a cascading effect on our lives. Local economies are getting a boost from the American Rescue Plan, which brought 367,300 new jobs to Washington, helped keep 6,800 childcare programs open, and 3,200 dining establishments serving their communities. Now, 276,300 Washington households have high-speed internet through the Affordable Connectivity Program, and home energy rebates are keeping folks comfortable and moving us all toward a greener future.

Investments like these help all of us. Take a look at how these efforts have impacted your community. [[link removed]]
