Yesterday was Virginia’s Primary Election Day. Here are the results: Lashrecse Aird WON her election for Virginia’s 13th Senate District!
We never intended to get involved in primary elections with this PAC, but the stakes were far too high, and the lines were so abundantly clear between these two candidates. While Lashrecse Aird has been a trusted champion for reproductive rights in the House of Delegates, her opponent had a disgustingly clear anti-choice record. We are thrilled that we were able to help Lashrecse win yesterday, but this is just the beginning.
In November, we will have the best opportunity in a generation to build a pro-choice majority at the state level, one that finally reflects the 77% of Virginians who support abortion rights. Help us prepare for November NOW by rushing $20.23 immediately → ([link removed])
Election after election, the message is clear: voters are ready to turn out to protect abortion rights. Yet, even though the vast majority of Virginians support abortion being protected or less strict, our governor has not wavered in his sentiment that he will “gleefully” sign a ban if given a chance. That is why we MUST win a pro-choice majority in November.
