When I first ran for office in 2020, the polls and the pundits didn't give me a shot at flipping Georgia blue. But we kept the faith – and thanks to grassroots folks like you, we built a people-powered movement that forced Republicans into a runoff election, won and took back the Senate majority.

That's why I'm reaching out: My friend, Colin Allred, just announced his campaign for U.S. Senate, and folks are already doubting him, saying a Democrat can't win in Texas. I beg to differ. This is a battleground that Colin can win but only if he has enough grassroots support.

Colin would make history – just like we did – as the first Black senator from Texas. He's the leader Democrats need to defeat Ted Cruz and represent all Texans – so I'm asking you to join me in supporting him: Will you please split $5 between my campaign and Colin’s to power his campaign to victory and flip Texas blue?

Colin and I both come from humble beginnings. He was raised in North Texas by a single mom who taught in public schools and sometimes worked two jobs to make ends meet. They were short on money but long on love and faith. 

We both know what it means to work hard and persevere, even when the odds are against us – especially when the odds are against us. That's how I know Colin has what it takes to finally flip Texas blue.

And listen, right after Colin launched his campaign, experts at CNN ranked Cruz as one of the most vulnerable senators in the country, and the Cook Political Report increased Democrats' chances of winning here!

There's no question that Colin is the better choice for Texas. He's a former civil rights lawyer who has spent his career fighting the good fight to expand access to the ballot box. I'm all in to help him win, but take it from me: He needs unprecedented grassroots support to combat the millions to come in GOP spending and flip this seat blue.
