"Zeldin’s potential Democratic challengers also are building sizable war chests. Stony Brook scientist Nancy Goroff led the way with $362,037 in receipts for the quarter."

But here's what we're up against: Lee Zeldin’s time on Donald Trump’s Impeachment Defense Team has been rewarded by raising huge sums of money from Trump's extremist donor network.

Zeldin's lead is far from insurmountable, partly because he's already spending a lot of what he's raising (including $20,000 for copies of Donald Trump, Jr.'s book…).
