Greetings!

Today, Saddam Salim was elected as the Democratic nominee for Virginia Senate District 37, which includes Fairfax, Vienna, Oakton, Falls Church, Tysons and Pimmit Hill. Saddam is the first Bangladeshi-American ever elected in the Commonwealth of Virginia - this is a historic moment!

This victory would not have been possible without the incredible support and generosity of hundreds of donors, volunteers, phone bankers, interns, supporters and voters like you! This was truly a grassroots movement and we can all be proud of how far we have come - thanks to you, we have a chance to make history and elect Saddam Salim our State Senator for the 37th District this fall!

Now the work begins of campaigning for the general election this fall!

We can't wait to work side by side with you again to reach out to new voters and talk with them about a new vision for Virginia's future!

Saddam is fired up and ready to get back on the campaign trial - this time as the Democratic nominee!
