Republicans said the occupant of the White House would “learn his lesson”
after he was impeached — instead, his corruption has become even more
brazen.
Yesterday, the Justice Department announced that Attorney General Bill
Barr would take over all cases of interest to the occupant of the White
House, including the sentencing of convicted criminal Roger Stone.
This is just the latest example of AG Barr putting the political interests
of Donald Trump ahead of the mission of the Department he is supposed to
be leading. AG Barr and the Department of Justice should never serve as
Donald J. Trump’s personal, vengeful lawyers, intervening on behalf of his
friends who break the law.
Congress is going to use every tool of oversight we have to ensure this
corrupt administration doesn’t get away with blatant abuse of power and
back-room dealing. AG Barr will be held accountable for his corruption and
complicity with this administration.
We are in a fight for the soul of our democracy against an occupant in the
White House who is newly emboldened. It will take all of us working
together to power this movement and resist the Trump Administration and
its rampant corruption.

America is a story of ordinary people confronting abuses of power with the
steadfast pursuit of justice. When the occupant of the White House and AG
Barr seek to corrupt and politicize the Department of Justice, we must
fight back and hold them accountable.
Thank you for all that you do to fight for our democracy,
