Approximately this time last year, the US Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision sent shockwaves through the United States, unraveling long standing protections for abortions and putting the fundamental reproductive rights at risk. We’re in a critical moment for reproductive rights, both in our nation and right here in New Mexico. With an entire slate of Republican candidates known for their anti-choices promises to do everything in their power to destroy the right to choose running for the 2024 Presidential election, including Donald Trump who appointed three anti-choice justices to the Supreme Court, we need to unite and elect Democrats who will tirelessly fight to protect these rights in our state.
The Democratic Party of New Mexico is at the forefront of this fight, advocating for comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including access to safe and legal abortions - but we cannot do this alone.
