Folks, as a farm kid, June meant long days working hard in the field under a hot summer sun.
We’d be up early fixing broken equipment, picking rocks, you name it. I was never short of a long to-do list.
Nowadays, I’m grateful for any chance to get out in the field. My farmwork keeps me grounded and connected to the land my grandparents homesteaded more than 100 years ago.
But here’s the part about June I don’t like: the dreaded “summer slump.” It’s the time when campaigns experience a nosedive in fundraising because folks stop paying attention to emails as they enjoy these summer months. That means we have to work twice as hard just to hit our benchmarks.
Before I get into it, can I count on you to chip in $10 today to help us get ahead of the fundraising slump?
June is a notoriously difficult time for fundraising, which is a big problem since it’s the final month of the FEC quarter. And as the most vulnerable senator running for reelection, this comes at a particularly bad time.
To put it briefly, folks, we can’t afford to let the “summer slump” win. There’s too much on the line.
Can I count on you to step up today and rush a donation of any size to help us get ahead of the “summer slump” so we can post the strongest numbers possible on our upcoming FEC report?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
The summer’s just getting started, and we have a lot of work to do, but with you on this team, I know we can win.
Thanks for the support,
Jon
