Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego is running to defeat Senator Kyrsten Sinema because he thinks power should be used to help everyday people, not hurt them in order to protect billionaires and big corporations.
EXAMPLE: Ruben introduced the Junk Fee Prevention Act that President Biden urged Congress to pass in his State of the Union address and again in a speech last week. His bill would save consumers billions of dollars by ending hidden fees on bank accounts, the most popular concert tickets, hotel stays, air travel, and much more.
Kyrsten Sinema -- not so much. She used her power as a senator to benefit Wall Street billionaires, block efforts to force Big Pharma to lower drug prices, and stop Dems from raising the minimum wage. Sinema hurt everyday people to help billionaires and corporations.
Thousands of PCCC members have been sharing stories about being charged surprise junk fees by greedy corporations. These stories are already being used in the fight to end junk fees.
Corporations are furious -- and lobbying to keep abusive hidden fees in place. But Ruben's message is, "If the only way you can turn a profit is by tricking people into paying more, you have a bad business model."
