John, we are in the midst of an economic crisis.

Inflation is high, cost-of-living is rising, and the national debt is soaring.

It’s time we hold this administration responsible for the overreach, over-spending, and over-regulations that are causing hard-working Americans to suffer.

And one reason executive bureaucracies continually expand regulations? It’s on autopilot.

That’s right. Government agencies in Washington can write rules with the force of law without Congress taking a look.

That doesn’t sound like the “how a bill becomes a law” Schoolhouse Rock video cartoon from our childhood!

The good news is, Congress has an opportunity to fix this problem now.

We urge you to ask your lawmaker to enact the REINS Act to limit executive overreach.

The REINS Act will:

  1. Prevent executive overreach by reasserting Congress' legislative authority in the federal rulemaking process.
  2. Require every new "major rule" proposed by unelected federal agencies to be approved by both the House and Senate, so Congress can stop regulations that drive up costs for Americans before they go into effect.
  3. Preserve Congress' authority to disapprove of other "nonmajor rules" through a joint resolution.

Instead of more government control, you can unleash the power of individuals to make the economy work better for everyone so all Americans can prosper.

Please ask your senator to support the REINS Act today.

The House of Representatives has already passed this legislation and we need to use this momentum to make lasting change that reins in federal bureaucracy.
