That means the fate of the Commonwealth’s GOP anti-choice agenda is about to be decided. Virginia Republicans are already united around a 15-week ban as a starting point. But they’re not going to stop there. More extreme Republicans throughout the Commonwealth are pushing for a full ban on abortion.

This fight is about so much more than one election. It’s about women’s right to make their own decisions about their health and family, without getting politicians’ permission. It’s about the lives and wellbeing of women with serious pregnancy complications who could be denied life-saving healthcare if an abortion ban goes into effect.
