In legislatures across the country, extremist Republicans are doing everything in their power to ban access to abortion one state at a time. Meanwhile, the courts are considering whether to ban mifepristone – a medication that is necessary for more than half of all abortions – even in states where abortion is protected under the law.

Now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, there is no question that the far-right minority in our country won't stop their attacks on our reproductive rights until they've banned all abortions nationwide.

I'm saddened, worried and angry. This has been a difficult time for all of us who are fighting to defend and restore reproductive freedoms. But I am also more determined than ever to fight as hard as I can to protect women's right to make our own health care decisions. And I need you to stand with me.

Because here's the thing: A new poll shows that the majority of Americans support legal abortion – so we need to make our voices heard over the dangerous minority of extremists. That's why I'm asking 10,000 Democrats from all across the country to add their names to my petition to defend reproductive rights from these far-right attacks.
