Here’s a recap: in Virginia, every single seat in the state Senate and House is on the ballot. Currently, the state is led by an anti-choice Governor, who has vowed to sign any abortion restrictions into law – a pro-choice majority in the legislature is the only way to stop him.

Prior to this election, the GOP controlled the House of Delegates. They tried to pass a number of abortion restrictions during this past legislative session, but a slim Democratic majority in the Senate blocked their attempts. This election could ensure that BOTH chambers have pro-choice majorities.

With North Carolina and South Carolina joining the rest of the South in passing abortion bans, all eyes 👀are on Virginia. We have the opportunity to build a pro-choice majority in one of the LAST southern states with unrestricted abortion access.
