John --
A president's budget proposal reflects their values and priorities. It should be no surprise then that Trump's latest budget aims to cut critical safety net programs, including children's health insurance, Medicare and Medicaid, food stamps, and Social Security.
Because -- surprising no one -- Trump cares much more about keeping his tax breaks for the wealthy than he does about the wellbeing of working Americans. Particularly children, seniors, and folks experiencing poverty.
In addition to the grotesque cuts to the critical programs working Americans rely on, the Trump-Pence budget cuts include ending ALL federal funding for Planned Parenthood -- continuing their anti-woman, anti-health care crusade.
This isn't the first time Trump has proposed giveaways to the top one percent at the expense of the American people. We've fought back before -- and it's time to fight back again. Be sure to make some noise on Facebook and Twitter, talk to your friends and neighbors, and maybe even give the White House comment line a call to let this administration know what you think of the latest budget proposal: 202-456-1111.
Thanks,
