I'm so grateful to have you on our team, John. Recently, I put out an urgent call asking folks like you to become Founding Donors of our Senate campaign – and donations came pouring in from across the country. I'm inspired by the power of our grassroots movement. But we have a problem. 

Experts at The Washington Post and the San Francisco Chronicle reported that we have a fundraising disadvantage compared to my opponents. And The New York Times just reported that this fight will be the most expensive race in the country. For Black women like me, we face higher barriers than other candidates – which is why I rely on grassroots supporters like you, John.

We can't afford to falter now. We've come so far, and a better future is within our reach. But with only a few hours left until our critical midnight deadline, we’re falling 18 Founding Donors short of our must-hit goal. This goal will set the pace for the rest of the cycle, so we can't afford to start off behind.

Please, I'm personally asking: Will you make a contribution of $5 or more now – as much as you can spare before our crucial midnight deadline – to become a Founding Donor of my campaign for U.S. Senate? Every dollar will go toward building a future that represents all of us!
