Hi Friend,
This year, World Refugee Day is for more than reflecting. It’s for raising our voices.
The violence in Sudan has killed hundreds of civilians so far, injuring thousands more.
And kids, as always, are at risk of being caught in the crossfire.
With the health care system close to collapse and their homes under fire, 1.9 million refugees have been forced to flee — like little Sara* and her siblings.
Will you honor families like hers with a message today? Tell our leaders: Refugee children need lifesaving support to cope and thrive. [[link removed]]
Displaced and scared, many of Sudan’s child refugees are fleeing the conflict with little access to food, water or medicine. They’re grappling with memories of unthinkable violence, or the pain of leaving a loved one behind.
Some are even journeying alone, Friend , at risk of abuse and exploitation.
Our nation should help protect child refugees from violence and support lifesaving education and psychosocial services as this tragedy — and countless others around the world — unfolds. Their lives and futures depend on it.
Add your name if you agree: We must help refugee children heal from the physical and emotional wounds of war. [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
