I couldn’t believe it when I heard what a member on my team paid for a haircut in DC.

Hey folks, I wanted to share a moment from a meeting I had with our team last week.

Before our meeting started, one of the members of my team shared how much he pays for a haircut in DC, and when I tell you, folks, the number he said just about left me speechless.

He said that he pays THIRTY-FIVE BUCKS for a haircut, and that’s apparently pretty cheap for DC. I let him know that I only pay $12 back home in Montana for my flattop! Truth be told, I wanted to take him out to Montana right then and there to get a fresh cut from my barber.

It was a funny moment for sure, but it made me think about how different things are in DC versus in rural Montana. Nobody where I’m from would pay $35 for a haircut or $12 for a beer. It’s a whole different world, and I think folks living outside of rural communities don’t get that.

As the Senate’s only working dirt farmer, I proudly bring a rural perspective to Washington. I am a fierce advocate for farmers and rural Americans, and I’ve worked hard to deliver on rural priorities, like improving access to high-speed internet.

Rural folks are so often taken for granted. But that’s why I’m running for reelection, and I know that with your support, we can make sure this seven-fingered dirt farmer can continue to advocate for those folks in the Senate and make sure their voices are heard.

So what do you say? Can I count on you to chip in to help me stay in the Senate fighting for rural communities in Montana and across the country?

Thanks for stepping up today. Whether you give $50, $35, or $12 (like the cost of my haircut), I’m happy to have you on this team.
