Rhode Island’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community has made so many contributions to our state. I love to march with Rhode Islanders at our Providence Pride parade, which I've joined just about every year I've been in the Senate, and before.

I’ve always believed that diversity makes us stronger. I am a strong supporter of the Equality Act, legislation that would update civil rights laws to prohibit discrimination – in employment, housing, and education – on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Not everyone in Congress shares that belief. While we’ve come a long way in the fight for justice and equality, there are still far too many Republicans in the Senate who don’t believe LGBTQ+ Americans deserve freedom from fear and discrimination.

Can you contribute today to expand our majority in the Senate next year so we can continue making progress for our country’s LGBTQ+ community?

We have plenty more work ahead of us. A Democratic Senate can get it done.
