We’ll keep this quick: Last week a new poll came out showing that our race for this open seat in Michigan is a dead-heat against one of our potential Republican opponents. Here are three things you should know about the state of our race, and why we need your support right now:

1) This poll shows that our race is a one-point margin – with 21% of voters undecided. That means we have a lot of work to do – including amplifying our message through TV and digital ads, increasing our robust community outreach, investing in mailers, and calling and texting voters.

2) With a presidential race also on the ballot and control of the Senate hinging on Michigan, National Republicans are gearing up to throw the kitchen sink at this race and have a strong candidate announce their run.

3) Our campaign is facing our next FEC fundraising deadline in less than two weeks, and having a strong showing on this report is key to sending a message that our campaign has what it takes to win this tough race, despite the poll.
