A MESSAGE FROM OUR NONPROFIT PARTNER,
TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE FOUNDATION (TPWF)

Caddo Lake State Park

For 100 years, Texas State Parks have offered tens of millions of parkgoers the chance to relax, rejuvenate, explore and embrace the awe-inspiring wild beauty that only Texas can contain. Texas is a state beyond compare, offering salty ocean bays, Texas-sized sandhills, one grand canyon and a most enchanted rock, tall mountain peaks, low-lying marshes and almost any terrain you can imagine.

Anyone who has visited any one of our nearly 90 Texas State Parks understands the priceless wonder and awe these wild places can provide. Each and every park strives to meet or exceed the needs of its visitors and the surrounding community by offering unforgettable experiences based on visitor requests and feedback. Texas State Parks do an amazing job of providing engaging, high-quality programming, but not every project can be implemented within the existing state budget. That?s why Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) worked with state park superintendents to identify much-needed projects for each park. We are raising $2 million to bring these projects to fruition and help our parks bloom for the next 100 years. A generous group of Centennial Champions is catalyzing this charge by matching every dollar raised, doubling the impact of your gift for our state parks!

Become a second century supporter of Texas State Parks today, and help TPWF fund thoughtful and much-needed projects that will breathe new life into our beloved park system, such as:

  • Planting shade trees surrounding Balmorhea State Park?s iconic spring-fed pool
  • Purchasing kayaks and equipment for a new paddling program at South Llano River State Park
  • Creating a braille trail for visually impaired park goers at Caddo Lake State Park
  • Adding a portable planetarium to make the night sky come alive at Resaca de la Palma State Park
  • Restoring 15 acres of native prairie along the Greenbelt Corridor of Ray Roberts Lake State Park to welcome birds, butterflies and other wildlife

These are just a small sampling of the many projects we are aiming to complete in an effort to help Texas State Parks continue to delight visitors for generations to come.
