For many students, school lunches are their only meal for the day! But many cash-strapped schools are unable to provide sufficient options to feed
students who follow vegetarian or plant-based diets for religious, ethical,
health, or other reasons. Some students report being left with nothing to eat
but nut butter and jelly every day.

The Healthy Future Students and Earth Act would help provide schools with the
funding they need to offer healthy plant-based options to our next generation of
leaders. But we need your help to build support and pass it through Congress -- help us

climate crisis today. That’s why more and more youth are turning to plant-based
diets -- food production contributes to ONE-THIRD of climate-warming emissions. Animal-based foods create TWICE the emissions than plant-based foods.

Plant-based meals are healthier for students, reducing the risk of heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Veggie-focused diets can also boost academic performance and address
educational inequities.

Congress could improve the health of our students and the planet with this bill. But every second we wait, more students are left without the meals they need! Please, Friend, take just 30 seconds to send a message
