Jane and Sebastian

Jane and Sebastian met here as piglets, after they both escaped slaughter for meat. They understand each other in ways no one else can; Sebastian has a tough reputation, but he’s a big softie for Jane. This piggy pair often snuggle side by side, and the passage of time has only deepened their bond.

Pippi and Forrest

When Pippi—a premature calf born with a hole in her heart—first arrived at Farm Sanctuary, she was terribly lonely. A few months later, Forrest—a tiny calf with leg problems—was rescued from a beef farm and helped lift Pippi out of her solitude. These once-ailing calves now run and play together, and bond through lots of grooming and snuggles.

Yoda and Felicity

For Yoda and Felicity, love means always knowing someone has your back. The sheep-llama duo take this idea quite literally: Yoda often stands above his friend, helping Felicity—who carries a lot of trauma from her early days spent at a backyard butcher operation—feel safe. This unlikely pair enjoy walking along the hillside, grazing, napping, and eating together.
