Celebrate the Fourth of July with these events
Do something special to celebrate the Fourth of July: Come to a special Nebraska state park event. On July 1-2, Fort Atkinson reenactors will portray the holiday activities that would have taken place at this 1820s-era outpost; see it for yourself! Also, Fort Robinson State Park will hold a Fourth of July celebration July 2-4, including a barbecue and western art show; see details.

Reminder: Camping reservations required at Lakes McConaughy, Ogallala
If you're planning a trip to Lake McConaughy or Lake Ogallala for the Fourth, remember that you will need a reservation to stay overnight. Please book your stay before leaving home.?Reservations can be made online, via mobile app RA Camping, or by phone at 308-284-8800 during business hours.

For a fun summer adventure exploring Nebraska parks with friends and family, sign up for the Great Park Pursuit. In this free program, players can visit up to 20 official park sites across the state, where a Great Park Pursuit post is hidden. Teams follow clues to the post and prove they were there with the free mobile app, or by making a pencil impression of the post to mail in. You may win prizes for it!
