DC Republicans recruit Gov. Jim Justice to run for U.S. Senate in West Virginia

In 2020, West Virginia voted for Donald Trump over Joe Biden 68% to 29%. It is one of the most conservative states in America — and deeply suspicious of establishment politicians in both parties.
That’s why U.S. Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV) is a perfect fit to represent the state in the U.S. Senate. Mooney is an anti-establishment conservative. He’s a member of the House Freedom Caucus with almost perfect voting records on every serious conservative scorecard.
That’s exactly why the Washington establishment recruited a RINO moderate to challenge him in next year’s Republican Senate primary.

Their candidate is billionaire Jim Justice, the richest man in the state and Mitch McConnell’s personal pick to join the Senate “club.” Justice is a typical moderate insider, another corporate Republican who will represent Washington values to West Virginia instead of the other way around.
