Our endorsed candidate, Lashrecse Aird, is a trusted champion in the House of Delegates, while her opponent, Joe Morrissey, is not. He’s telling voters that he has “never voted to restrict abortion access” and that “legislators should not be telling women what to do with their bodies.”

In reality, in 2010 and 2011, he voted for legislation to close down health centers that provide abortion care. He has repeatedly said that he is a pro-life “Democrat.” And then, in February 2022, he was a Senate Patron for Amanda Chase’s SB 710, an abortion ban that would have restricted access to care for Virginians facing severe fetal diagnoses.

Today is our chance to replace this anti-choice legislator with a woman dedicated to protecting abortion rights.
