Dear John, One year ago this month, the Supreme Court’s overturned Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs decision.
But that was just the beginning. Now, we’re seeing more state laws restricting or banning abortion care, and a 50-state battle to preserve access to medication abortion.
With the reproductive freedom of every woman in every state on the chopping block, NOW is ramping up our grassroots efforts to restore reproductive justice through national legislation, and to protect reproductive freedom for people who can become pregnant from extremist judges and state lawmakers.

• Protecting and strengthening the legal right to abortion through legislation like Women’s Health Protection Act
• Passing legislation to reaffirm the FDA’s approval of mifepristone and continue to allow providers to prescribe the drug via telehealth.
• Repealing the infamous Hyde Amendment that has prohibited the use of federal Medicaid funds for abortion since 1980.
