Friend,



The first-ever “Chief Diversity Officer” at the State Department just
testified before Congress, and she couldn’t answer even the most basic question
I asked:



“Am I white?”



That simple question left her dumbfounded into complete silence.


With that silence, I exposed a truth that the Left doesn’t want to talk about:
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) — as the Left is implementing it in our
federal agencies — is delusional and inherently racist!

STOP THE DEI DELUSION

Friend, it shouldn’t matter that I’m half Mexican. It shouldn’t matter whether
I’m able-bodied, or ambulatory or not ambulatory. There are a million other
traits you can base hiring someone on—hard work, loyalty to America, patience,
willingness to sacrifice, a sense of duty, consistency, honor, discipline,
confidence—just to name a few. Hiring based on what somebody looks like is
inherently wrong.



If all hardworking Americans are minimized to nothing more than what they look
like, the Left will eradicate American excellence and endanger our country.



When the State Department checks boxes instead of hiring the best men and
women for the job, it results in botched foreign policy, like the disastrous
withdrawal from Afghanistan that left American soldiers dead.



That’s why I will do everything in my power to stop government overreach and
end this DEI delusion because it threatens everything I love about America.

Friend, I happen to be half Mexican. I also happen to walk on two prosthetic
legs. Neither of those qualities make me inherently qualified for any job.



But you know what does? The fact that I dedicated my life’s work to defending
our country. Forged in the fire of battle in Afghanistan, I gained experience
that informs my life to this day. And, I learned the true meaning of sacrifice
when a bomb exploded beneath my legs, resulting in catastrophic and
life-threatening injuries.



You wouldn’t know any of that based on a race-baiting checkbox on a job
application.



I’m proud to stand on my two metal legs today fighting back against the Left’s
idiotic ideology that attempts to distill the totality of my life’s experiences
into one of two categories: white or not.
