The Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) has been tenaciously lobbying legislators to vote no on HB 73 so they can maintain total control over what doctors are allowed to prescribe. Sub HB 73 is written to ensure that hospitals and pharmacists that disagree with an off-label drug being prescribed by a doctor and their consenting patient are protected, while still remaining STRONG in provisions to PROTECT the doctor-patient relationship and patient ACCESS to life saving drugs. Sub HB 73 will be voted on in Health Commitee on Tuesday, June 20th, and if passed will have a House floor vote on the 21st. We need everyone to e-mail the Health Provider Services Committee members by noon on Tuesday June 20th!
