The 2023 SDG Summit will take place on 18-19 September 2023 in New York, during the United Nations General Assembly high-level week. Heads of State and Government will gather to review the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to discuss how to respond to the multiple crises facing the world and agree on transformative actions to accelerate progress towards the 2030.
Ahead of the Summit, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), in collaboration with the UN SDG Action Campaign, convened a virtual informal stakeholder dialogue, during which major groups and other stakeholders offered inputs to the zero draft political declaration for the 2023 SDG Summit with the participation of the SDG Summit Co-facilitators, H.E. Mr. Fergal Mythen, Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations and H.E. Ms. Alya Ahmed Saif Al-Thani, Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations.
More than 3000 people from 140 countries joined this engaging conversation that has been captured through visual scribing. Please find the summary of the Dialogue here.
