Dear supporters, Tomorrow marks two years since the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In the wake of this senseless violence, we banded together to do something about violence in our schools so that no other families have to experience the pain that we have had to endure. Today, we ask you to join us in action. There is currently a bipartisan bill in Congress that will help prevent future school shootings by expanding the U.S. Secret Service’s National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) to include a greater focus on school violence prevention. Stand with Parkland has been proud to present at free training events provided by NTAC in cities throughout America as they unveiled their latest report on targeted school violence. The EAGLES Act expands the program that prioritizes NTAC’s research into the origins of targeted violence and directs key funding to prevent the next mass school shooting. The best way to stop the next school shooting is to proactively prevent it. Don’t wait for your community to become the next Parkland. We need to come together and do something about this American epidemic. Signing this legislation into law would be a win for both sides of the aisle – and failure to act is a great loss for all Americans. Thank you for taking action, -- Stand with Parkland
