John,
Millions of Palestinians have lived their entire lives under systemic oppression. For decades, multiple Israeli governments have flaunted international law and human rights.
Yet for all of that time, U.S. funding has flowed to the Israeli military, currently to the tune of $3.8 billion every year.
U.S. military aid should not be allowed to contribute to human rights abuses.
That’s why the Working Families Party is joining more than 75 organizations who have endorsed Rep. Betty McCollum’s bill, the Defending the Human Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act.
Will you join us in calling on all progressives in Congress to support this bill? Click here to sign the petition now and urge Congress to take a stand for human rights by co-sponsoring H.R. 3103:

Just a few days ago, the Israeli government told the U.S. of its plan to build thousands of new housing units in settlements in the West Bank — settlements that much of the world considers to be a violation of international law.1
That would mean even more Palestinians would likely have their homes and livelihoods destroyed, their physical movement restricted, and their access to water and other natural resources blocked.2
If passed, H.R. 3103 would make sure that U.S. taxpayer dollars could no longer support:
-
The military detention, abuse, or ill-treatment of Palestinian children in Israeli military detention;
-
The seizure and destruction of Palestinian property and homes in violation of international humanitarian law; or
-
Any assistance for Israel's unilateral annexation of Palestinian territory in violation of international humanitarian law.
It is urgent that we take a stand against these injustices and protect Palestinian children and families living under military occupation.
Can you sign the petition demanding that progressive members of Congress co-sponsor this critical legislation? Our taxes should never be used to fund human rights abuses.

In solidarity,
Working Families Party
