“We ask only to let us contribute freely. Let us walk along you, shoulder to shoulder, on that same road our hands help to pave.”
— Denis Montero Diaz, Dreamer

John, 11 years ago this week President Obama created the Deferred Access for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program — allowing individuals who were brought to the U.S. as children, to stay and work in the only country they’ve ever called home.

Most Dreamers have now graduated college, opened businesses, and started families. Together, they’ve paid over $33 billion in government taxes. For 11 years Dreamers have been in limbo — allowed to contribute to America’s success, but not offered a path to citizenship.

As I write this, a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas is considering ruling DACA unlawful — a decision that would put 580,000 Dreamers across our country in danger of deportation.

In Congress, I’m fighting for a path to citizenship for DACA recipients. Unfortunately, many politicians would rather push anti-immigrant and hateful propaganda than come to the negotiating table.

Here in New Mexico, I’m in a rematch campaign against Yvette Herrell who wants to deport Dreamers.

I only beat Herrell by 1,350 votes last year, and pundits are saying our rematch will be the tightest race of 2024. John, can you rush a donation of $20.24 (or any amount) before the June 30 End-of-Quarter fundraising deadline to help me protect this seat and stand up for our DACA Dreamers?

As long as I’m your representative in Congress, I’ll continue to do what we all know is right.

Gracias,
