Patriot,
Last week's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on reauthorizing
the program America's spy agencies use to gather intelligence on
law-abiding Americans, an unequivocal violation of the U.S.
Constitution, went exactly as we predicted.
Top officials from the CIA, FBI, NSA, DOJ, and DNI testified
about how badly they need Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Act to be renewed, because "it's so important for
catching bad guys."
They claimed Section 702 is necessary to stop the flow of drugs
into our country. They were mostly unapologetic about their
millions of illegal searches on Americans and said agents would
be penalized . . . yet there was but a single person fired for
illegal searches because the Deep State protects their own.
And if Section 702 is so important, the Alphabet Spy Agencies
shouldn't have abused it to illegally spy on law-abiding
Americans without getting a warrant.
At this point, the excuses and explanations ring so hollow that
Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) noted this repetitiveness:
"In hearing after hearing about FISA and the FBI's shocking
disregard for Americans' constitutional rights and civil
liberties, we have been given basically the same answer by FBI
directors, attorneys general, and other officials during three
presidential administrations involving both major political
parties.
"And the answer every time is more or less a variation of the
following: 'Just trust us. Don't worry. We've got good people,
law-abiding people running this. And we've got lots and lots of
procedural safeguards in place to prevent this type of abuse that
you're facing here. These are not the droids you're looking for.'
"
Lee went on to point out abuse after abuse by the FBI in recent
years and scoffed at the notion the latest FBI policy update was
going to change anything.
Patriot, you know things are bad when even U.S. Senators are
saying on record what a joke these bogus reforms are.
The hearing may have been just more of the same, but that just
goes to show the time for show hearings is over.
It's time to DEMAND Congress hold the FBI accountable and end
Section 702.

The FBI conducts hundreds of thousands of illegal warrantless
searches on Americans every month.
Clearly, unmistakably, illegal searches aren't an aberration of
policy. They are the policy.
They've concocted bogus investigations against politicians,
against pro-life and anti-war activists, and even persecuted
parents concerned about what's going on in our schools.
And as whistleblowers have testified, all of this came at the
expense of the legitimate work fighting sex traffickers and
terrorists.
This is an outrage, and Congress needs to hear our outrage.
Because the politicians in Washington might think criticizing the
FBI in hearings is enough. Behind closed doors, many of them have
no problem with the FBI's rogue actions - even though they also
targeted a Congressman!
This has to stop . . . and we the people must DEMAND it stop.
Take a moment right now to send all members of the Senate an
e-postcard DEMANDING they hold the FBI and other agencies
accountable for their misconduct.

NO COMPROMISE, NO BOGUS "REFORM" - END SECTION 702 of the Foreign
Intelligence Surveillance Act!
The "intelligence leadership" has told us time and time again
they will fix things. And time and time again, they break not
just the rules but the law.
The fact is, the Deep State is hell-bent on collecting every
American's emails, phone records, text messages, Internet
searches, instant messages, online purchases, and social media
posts.
And they're not letting anything get in their way. As admitted in
the news, the NSA "deliberately ignored restrictions on their
authority to spy on Americans multiple times in the past decade."
Take a moment right now to tell members of the Senate to SHUT
DOWN the abuses of Section 702, which the Deep State has proven
time and again it cannot be entrusted to use in "good faith."
And if you can, please also make a contribution of $100, $50,
$25, $10, or whatever you can afford to help us inform and
mobilize more patriots for this fight.

P.S. Section 702 of FISA - which opened the door for the
massive collection of innocent Americans' emails, texts, phone
calls, and online chats to continue - is set to expire at the end
of this year.

If you and I turn up enough heat on Congress to stop
reauthorization, I'm convinced we can bring the statists'
domestic spying programs to a crashing halt.
That's why I'm counting on you to please send your STOP THE
SURVEILLANCE STATE e-postcard and make a contribution of $10,
$25, $50, $100, or more TODAY!
