"Postsecondary Innovation: Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's Opportunities"
During the hearing, I highlighted the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University which has led the way in medical school innovation through the creation of an accelerated medical school curriculum, known as the MCG 3+ program. This program creates individualized medical education tracts for undergraduate students to prepare them more quickly with the competencies they need for the MD program.

Georga-12 is home to the first new nuclear reactor units being built in the U.S. in more than three decades. Georgia's energy regulatory structure values reliability and holds utilities accountable for keeping the lights on. I asked our witnesses about the need for all states to focus on building and investing in reliable assets like nuclear energy.

Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Field Hearing
"Enhancing America's Grid Security and Resilience"
I traveled to Pinehurst, North Carolina where I participated in a field hearing to examine the physical and cybersecurity considerations for the electric grid. I also toured a Duke Energy substation that was the victim of a cyber attack in December that left 45,000 homes and businesses without power for five days.
